I admire and am moved by painting because it strikes a reaction deep in me. Its beautiful because I am able to relate to its feeling and mood, and that reaction is not solely based on its looks- the colors and brush strokes- but by analyzing what those colors and strokes are saying in conjunction with everything else and how they make me feel. I don't think I would ever be moved or touched enough to be thankful for another passing woman or mans looks based on their appearance alone. My mind would distinguish whether I thought they were attractive or not, but it would never strike me deep enough to categorize them in the same place as a sunset or painting.
