You need to find someone who's ready to truly move forward with you. We all have our past loves. We don't cling to them and maintain contact, let alone sext. He seems to be playing with her as well, not drawing boundaries either...it's just not a good situation. He doesn't really want her, but he's still hanging on to a degree.
